Architect

Job Overview

The Architect provides remote technical support to the on-site staff and assists in creating drawings, designs, and layouts for multiple projects. Excellent technical skills and knowledge of CAD software are central to the role. Generating technical drawings and updating them from redlines, acquired plans, and field notes are important activites, as is reviewing documents for code compliance and maintaining drawings and related content.

Duties & Responsibilities

• "Design and plan architectural projects, including buildings, homes, and other structures
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for the project
• Create detailed drawings and blueprints using computeraided design (CAD) software
• Ensure that all designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations
• Work with contractors and construction teams to oversee the building process and ensure that the project is completed according to the design specifications
• Manage project budgets and timelines, and communicate progress to clients and stakeholders
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is proceeding according to plan and that any issues are addressed promptly
• Research new materials and construction techniques to stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers and interior designers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are integrated and cohesive
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project progress and resolve any issues that arise."

Education & Training

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of architectural design principles and practices
• Skills in drafting and computeraided design (CAD) software
• Experience in project management and coordination with contractors and other professionals
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Skills in problemsolving and critical thinking
• Experience in creating and presenting design proposals to clients
• Knowledge of sustainable design and green building practices
• Skills in communication and collaboration with clients and team members.
