Sales Development Data Analyst

Job Overview

The Sales Development Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Lead Generation Team by managing Data Operations. This position collaborates closely with Sales (CRO, Director of Sales), Marketing (CMO, Director of Marketing), and the Lead Generation Team (particularly Sales Development Analysts) to optimize prospect data and identify segmentation opportunities. Utilizing various data analysis tools and techniques, the analyst creates insightful prospect reports that drive informed decision-making. Additionally, the role involves industry research and list generation tactics to enhance data quality. Ultimately, the Sales Development Data Analyst is crucial in helping organizations make data-driven decisions and achieve their business objectives.

Inputs

The most common inputs for the Sales Development Data Analyst relate to List Orders and raw list information not yet cleaned or enriched. This includes purchased lists and those assembled by the Data Analyst, other team members, or the Data Provider.The analyst also reviews industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback in response to scheduled and ad-hoc requests. Requests relating to the opting-out process are handled by the Data Analyst.


Outputs

The Sales Development Data Analyst’s primary output is prospect list data, prepared for loading into the Marketing Automation system (if separate from the CRM) to drive Lead Generation campaigns. This involves data outputs such as normalization, enrichment, deduplication, and metadata tagging. The Data Analyst provides information on segmentation opportunities within existing data sets to advise Campaign Plans. Additional outputs include sales and marketing analysis, Lead Generation performance reports, and industry research.
